@thebottomcorna To move the needle from competiting to winning major trophies, you need an experienced and elite manager. Someone who has done it before and has a reference point. Arteta has no reference point. We should thank him for his services and move him on at the end of the season

I get it that after 22 years our fans have the right to be angry about the possibility of not winning the title this season but 2-3 things can be truth at the same time. Arteta has many faults but it is also true that he took us from the dungeon of the EPL and placed us in the pinnacle. It is true that thanks to give we have back to back semi finals in the UCL for the first time in our history. It is true that thanks to him we no longer get beaten 5-1, 8-2, 10-2, 6-0 by the big guns in the league and in Europe. When Arteta arrived at Arsenal, we were a team other teams enjoyed bullying, technically we were average, the fanbase was toxic, we were losing to bang average teams. Now not any more. I personally think he should be given at least one more season. Let's be realistic, if Havertz, Saka and Ødegaard were not so injured this season, we would have walked the league by now. Yes it is true that we haven't played well since December/January but that would happen to any team that has had to deal with so much injuries to their key attacking players as much as we have had to so far this season.

@GoonerGirl1969 Until its done im staying positive. Right now City would bite our hand off to be in our position and still in the CL. Could be worse, could be Spurs or Chelsea (cheering their own team getting beaten 3-0). Its up to us.

If I'd have told you back in August 2025 that mid April 2026 we'd be 6 points clear, with City having a game in hand, beaten Sporting Lisbon away 1 nil in the quarter finals of the Champions League first leg, second leg back at The Emirates, you'd have bitten my hand off!
