Machete fight breaks out in Dewsbury town centre this evening
A group was thrashing machetes about in front of horrified shoppers on Foundry Street in Dewsbury town centre this evening.
Police helicopter circled overhead as armed officers rushed to the scene.
West Yorkshire police in a statement said: At 3.27pm officers were called to Foundry Street in Dewsbury to reports people were fighting in the street with machetes.
Armed Police attended all was in order and no injuries have been reported.
Enquiries are ongoing.

You shouldn't believe an academic paper just because it is an academic papers, that is an absurd level of qualification worshipping. The 8% figure just does not survive rational scrutiny.

Dine-and-dash couple orders £195 slap-up meal at posh Ipswich restaurant, then calmly walks out without paying a penny.

There were huge penalties for remortgaging so all this shopping around didn't exist. Fixed rates & trackers were rare, no rent to buy

All well and good but scrimping and saving will not buy a house today. You need 5-6 times two salaries not 3 times one salary. By all means ditch the takeaways and new clothes but it isn’t going to make a dent into a quarter of a million quid.

When I married in 1981 we both worked & most of our salary went on paying the mortgage as the interest rate was 15% at the time. Everything we owned was 2nd hand & we never went out for meals as we couldn’t afford to. We rented our TV Went to the launderette every weekend as had no washing machine. Only had new clothes at Xmas & birthdays as presents. We went without until we could save enough to pay for something. It’s always been hard whether you are young or old. So those out there that think we had it easy we didn’t. Our governments are to blame, not the old.

Though its completely wrong to do, I can understand his frustration with the VAN driver. VAN is in wrong lane and blocking and slowing down lots of traffic. This is something police should enforce but sadly member of public had to do it at his own risk.
If you are not overtaking or going slow then you must be in left lane.

There was no 8% loss of gdp, it's fantasy. Our gdp since brexit is inline with countries in the EU. It is absurd to imagine that the UK alone would have had an 8% increase in gdp by staying in the EU, when no other countries in it have. Lies for the gullible.
