@flushingitgolf Awwww... Look at his sad little 🥔 face! Hope he's got a quadruple bogey at the 10 in him.

Rory McIlroy started the day with a 6 shot lead, but after a 1 over par 73, and great play from the chasing pack, that lead has disappeared and he’s now tied with Cameron Young heading into Sunday.
After the round, he met with media before heading to the range:
“Yeah, didn't quite have it today. Yeah, even just starting at the first hole with that soft bogey, even though I hit a pretty good drive. Yeah, I mean, the course was obviously gettable. There was a lot of good scores out there, and obviously the quality of the chasing pack is obvious. There was a lot of guys that shot good scores.
“You know, there's a lot of guys in with a chance tomorrow. I'm still tied for the best score going into tomorrow, so I can't forget that, but I do know I'm going to have to be better if I want to have a chance to win.”
“There's a long way to go. Yeah, this golf course has a way of, you know, when you're not quite feeling it, you struggle…
“just need to go to the range and try to figure it out a little bit.”

Greece winning EURO 2004 when France was moving like this is still one of the funniest things in soccer history

@JackMacHardy1 @Irish_On_Tour I know.
I’m applying the same logic to another golfer who nobody seems to like.
Weirdly it’s the Americans who hate the fact tha someone like him won The Open at St Andrews. 🤷🏼
English

@JmSheikh @Irish_On_Tour Bro Zach Johnson has had a unbelievable career

The Willett hate from the yanks is tiresome.

Still can’t believe this dude got a green jacket

@dancolosimoo The biggest knock the imbeciles have against Buffon is that he never won the CL. He played for Juve. The famously cursed club in Europe. Was he supposed to score goals for them?!
English

@dancolosimoo Buffon was the superstar keeper in his playing days for Parma. He was standing out in a team with Thuram, Cannavaro and Crespo.
No one outside Germay knew who Neuer was until he joined the daddy club Bayern.
English

@dancolosimoo People forget that most of Neuer’s aura comes from playing for Bayern. They’re the Celtic of Germany but with a great European record.

@flushingitgolf Hope a journeyman wins it. 🇺🇸 or 🇪🇺 doesn’t matter.
It’s going to be hilarious to watch all the shills and WRXers going into a meltdown.
The slow change of tune about JJ Spaun was something to behold after Oakmont last year.

No player has successfully defended the green jacket since Tiger Woods in 2002. But after Rory McIlroy’s emotional Masters victory last year to complete the Career Grand Slam ended 16 years of heartbreak and a decade long Major drought, he has a great chance to contend again this week.
Ahead of his title defence, he spoke about how different it feels arriving at Augusta National with the weight lifted from his shoulders:
“I think the best way that I can describe it is -- well, firstly, I would have never gotten up here this early. I would have never arrived on a Saturday. I usually arrive earliest Sunday night but probably Monday, Monday evening.
“I think for the past 17 years I just could not wait for the tournament to start, and this year I wouldn't care if the tournament never started (laughter). That's sort of the difference.
“Yeah, it's completely different. I feel so much more relaxed. I know that I'm going to be coming back here for a lot of years, going to enjoy the perks that the champions get here. It doesn't make me any less motivated to go out there and play well and try to win the tournament, but yeah, just more relaxed about it all.”
Rory McIlroy’s game is very well suited to Augusta National with his towering ball flight and ability to hit shots others can only dream of. With him being completely unburdened this year, a relaxed and free flowing Rory has a real chance to join Jack Nicklaus, Tiger Woods and Nick Faldo as the only players to successfully defend the Masters.

@flushingitgolf Oh God, please no!
This mf has milked this Masters win enough. More than Jack did with his SIX.
I can’t stand any more posts about this🥔
Please let it end.
English

@deputyfootball @flushingitgolf Oh, it’s not that your point was difficult to understand. No, no. Just that, politely put, it was dumb.
English

@JmSheikh @flushingitgolf A smart person can usually understand the point being made regardless
English

@deputyfootball @flushingitgolf A smart answer or retort doesn’t usually follows “umm”.
English

@JmSheikh @flushingitgolf Mmm not really. Does it happen? Sure
Is is the norm? I would say no
English

@deputyfootball @flushingitgolf Isn’t that’s what all sport is at least half of the time?
English

@flushingitgolf Euro nonsense revisionist history. Spieth had the tournament won and fell victim to 12 like many have before him. Choked it and Willett was there happy to take his place
English

@GCman1907 @flushingitgolf What is this “worthy” talk? So pros other than 5 or 6 names that have been built up as worthy should pack it ip and go home?
Why do they call it a fairytale when someone maes it against all odds?
English

@flushingitgolf Bro cmon with the BS. He is not a major worthy player. It’s awful when guys like that win. I even hate that Wyndham and JJ got one but JJ has his moments.
English

@StephieSmallls The leprechaun.
One whole ass year of milking it is enough.
One Green Jacket has been one too many for an attention whore like him.
English

@BiroeHitam_ @sunday_coach R9 didn’t have one of these… Aand?
Your argument is retarded.
English

@nocontextfooty That stat is as useless as the 1st leg win against Madrid. They have a habit of coming back from the dead.
The guy got it wrong but his curt reply is understandable…
English

@kickermanfr @owenthfc__ R9 was never able to win the CL with the OG Galacticos. Your argument sucks!
English

@owenthfc__ And also Neuer has won 2 Champion leagues, maybe 3 who knows.. Buffon was never able to win one and was the reason Psg lost to united the last time he had the chance to play for it
English

Buffon's whole gimmick was playing in his 40's while a washed Neuer is still making several big saves & being a sweeper keeper at the Bernabeu at age 40.
That's not even mentioning how Neuer single handedly influenced a whole generation of young goalkeepers. Never compare them again, Neuer is miles clear.
