Grant Horvat is too good at golf while simultaneously being not good enough for me to give a shit about anything he does in golf.

We often joke that people in the really world have never heard of @livgolf_league . Well not anymore I guess. Today at work a guy said "Hey, you follow golf, right? What's up with that LIV Golf thing, I heard all of their best players are leaving?" I said "yes, that's true".

💣 Wow. It was just 3 days ago that Patrick Reed said “he would be surprised” if he didn’t get a new deal done with LIV for 2026.
This says to me he likely knows the OWGR will be refusing LIV’s application to get points.

I am excited to announce that I am returning to the PGA TOUR as a past champion member for the 2027 season and am eligible to begin competing in PGA TOUR events later this year. I will continue to compete and play as an Honorary Lifetime Member on the DP World Tour, which is something that I am truly honored and excited to do. From what I gather, the Wesley Bryan situation is different from Reed in that Reed resigned his membership before playing unauthorized events, while Bryan was a member while he played in an unauthorized event. Different discipline criteria.

@Daniel_Rapaport People are delusional… Brooks and Patrick left the PGA cause they could play less and make more. LIV expanded to 72 holes and has more tournaments, so now Brooks and Patrick are like wait… I’m going to go to the PGA where I can play less again and… shit I’m already rich!

Here's the memo sent to PGA Tour membership today re/Patrick Reed. Clarifies some eligibility stuff for returning members and how they're not eligible for equity through 2023. Also says Tour expects Brooks to be only guy to take up the Returning Member Program.

This is a monumental day in this LIV Golf saga. Once the league failed to generate momentum--at least here in the U.S.--the next domino to fall was going to be The First Guy To Come Back. That domino has fallen in the form of a 5-time major winner.
