China's new hydrogen subsidies target hydrogen at 25 CNY/kg.Range reqs make this the gas equivalent of $1.90/gallon, roughly half the current cost eq. Green H2 is a form of electrification more cost-effective than fossil equivalents & the right pairing to Electrify Everything!

I visited Hinch Distillery @hinchdistillery in the fall of 2022 on a business trip to Catagen, my Belfast, Northern Ireland client. We had a tour of the distillery, followed by a nice tasting menu (including Irish whiskey, of course). Hinch also makes Irish Gin!

⬇️ I was on CertifHy 2 Work Group 1, "GO scheme and procedures" 9 years ago, working on Guarantees of Origin for low-carbon hydrogen. I'm glad to see that this good @CertifhyEU work is being implemented with today's #RFNBO hydrogen certifications. #hydrogen #H2 #GreenHydrogen

Yeah, solar panels can break. But the glass isn't what you think. It's tempered glass: 4x stronger, and designed to last 30yrs outside. Cracked panels are still rare, like broken car windshields. Solar glass breaks into dull pieces. Not a relative safety, nor enviro concern.

Several months after naming clean hydrogen as one of the pillars of its next five year plan, China is now setting targets for hydrogen use in transport and power sectors. 25 yuan = 3.16 eur/kg. Based on what I’ve seen I believe they can hit it.
