I'M CALLING THIS OUT: There is a concerted, top-down effort to dumb down all AI models that are accessible by the public, including open source AI and cloud-based AI. And there's a reason why this is happening. It explains why Opus 4.7 is such a disappointment, among other things. The chasm between in-house frontier AI / AGI versus open-to-the-public AI is widening. On purpose. I'll have a full report on this tomorrow or the next day.

There's basically zero awareness of Western Nebraska and Eastern Wyoming. You have to drive there. It's some of the Most American Geography we have. Unlike anywhere else.

You could have made a Spin off about the story how his parents met and feel in love and had harry until they died or a story of how Hogwarts was created originally with the four Houses. You could have even shown us Voldemorts story more in detail but no … we get this … ok shure … very creative

@kevinroose Why do you think coders are generally okay with AI-generated code, but writers seem to generally not be okay with AI-generated writing? Assuming both are reviewed by humans.

Might write some more about this but here’s a quick 🧵: In seminary, “rugged individualism” was thrown around like a slur. But it was never clear what the target was. Right-wing economic theory? Modernity? The American political project? It wasn’t always clear. It was something people said, like a shibboleth.
