I hate to say this, but my fellow Canadians who are saying, “watch out or we’re next!” are VASTLY underestimating the number of people who can’t wait for exactly that. We need to step out of our echo chambers and realize we’re not dealing with fake polls and vocal minorities.

It took several days to count every ballot in 2020, and it’s very likely we won’t know the outcome tonight either. So please keep a few things in mind as you make your voice heard today:
– Thousands of election workers around the country are working hard today. Respect them. Thank them.
– Don’t share things before checking your sources.
– Let the process run its course. It takes time to count every ballot.

We need sufficient Human Resources to provide PROACTIVE instead of reactive support to students with complex needs. Forcing kids to reach crisis mode before they get time with an EA is a massive #OntEd failure directly tied to the broken education funding formula.

Maybe it’s time for fireworks sales to be limited to permit-holding organizations with volunteers or staff who have taken a fireworks safety course and are doing an event in an open area.

Tonight while returning home from the drone show at Waterloo Park, I was shot in the face with a firework. Intentionally. I am a little singed, but not significantly injured. I was shot at multiple times and hit once. This firework insanity has to stop. @citywaterloo @WRPSToday
