@Pirat_Nation That's not the concern tho. The point is that the game is preserved and playable, at the very least for those who spend money on it. If it's not enjoyable because certain things become unavailable it'll be up to users to for example mod the game to make it enjoyable again.

The Wild games have virtually nothing in common with the 2D or even 3D titles beyond having Link, Zelda, and Ganon in them. BotW being the "spiritual successor" to Zelda 1 is one of the most brazen and despicable lies ever told about a video game.
