The irony is that memecoins became the most traded assets because people were tired of VCs milking them but it turned out that insidors + rug pullors + pump dot fun fees are much better at milking retails

Little round up of interesting things over the last few days 1. @JupiterExchange is the powerhouse of Solana Just heard news of some new tokenomics with a 50% buyback of $JUP from exchange fees. Pretty huge, mostly because the volume and therefore the fees that jupiter make is already pretty wild. They're averaging over $100b a month in volume already. On top of that they acquired a majority stake in @moonshot and acquired @Sonarwatch. Shaw from @ai16zdao also launching a new magic fund with Jupiter. When $JUP first launched, I remember thinking wow this is incredibly overvalued. As time has passed I've seen how an application once users are acquired can then moneitise in through a variety of sub products. They have truely become a monster in the world of on chain crypto and fair play to them. 2. New social apps - @tribedotrun New year, new social app, this one is called Tribe. Somewhat similar to Friend Tech in the sense that you buy tokens of your favourite creators to get access to a chat room but there are some new features, so it's a little different. Crypto has a few use cases by the biggest by far is always speculation, this is a casino at the end of the day. 4. New Chain Launches Seeing a ton of buzz around @AbstractChain, where attention flows, opportunity arises. Certainly something I'm going to look into especially with some opportunities for creators. Is it more of an NFT chain? I mean what is abstracts USP? I don't know just yet but if you guys have any insights help me out! I still feel there is not a single chain that can rival what @berachain has coming. That includes the likes of @HyperliquidX @monad_xyz @initia @movementlabsxyz and @megaeth. The gap in ecosystems is huge and is only continuing to expand. 5. Look I absolutely admire Justin, and the work put into this plan. And I mean, yes, we do need to improve the consensus layer! Lots of low-hanging fruit. Ethereum hasn’t ossified so why wouldn’t you want to fix old stuff with newer, superior tech? The problem with this talk is that it’s just pitched wrong. We can’t have meme campaigns about this infra nonsense anymore. Yes, I said nonsense, I’ve been a part of this nonsense and of course it isn’t ”nonsense” but it doesn’t resonate with end users or even app developers, and shouldn’t be taking up memetic mindshare in the Ethereum community! Ethereum does face real competition from Solana and we can’t have the community be championing a ”SNARKification of the consensus layer” for 5 fucking years while Solana fucks our wives’ boyfriends. Spare the meme campaigns for the things that addresses the core challenges for Ethereum app developers and users: ON WHICH L2 SHOULD I DEPLOY MY APP? WHICH L2 SHOULD I START USING? IF DEFI ISN’T THE USE CASE—WHAT IS THE USE CASE? So looks like the tokenomics allocation breakdown in $TIA docs is completely BS and the R&D and ecosystem allocation has no vesting at all. According to tokenomics only 269million Tokens were suppose to be liquid at genesis : 200mil public allocation 69million R&D & ecosystem
