💥I now have a different opinion of Officer Noonan. I think he did the best he could under very difficult & unique circumstances! 💥Since Kelsey says she put the gun to her head and pulled the trigger, he too could have been shot at any moment by shouting and intervening, which likely caused her to look or move towards the direction of his commands. It was a no win situation for all. It was truly the perfect storm. My bad to Officer Noonan for judging him unfairly. 💥I think Officer Noonan is just a genuine tough guy, who couldn’t properly explain his emotional state at that moment, because he has to stuff it down to do the jobs he’s done. 💥He’s a veteran, a 20+ year cop, and SWAT, so his emotions will never show like everyone else’s. I hope he and the others present, including Kelsey can heal and move past this mess. I’m sure even Kelsey doesn’t really fault Noonan. 💥Hopefully Kelsey is NOT GUILTY. Then Noonan, Kelsey and the others should have a reunion after so they can all heal, and put this mess behind them. 💥Free Kelsey Fitzsimmons!

Exactly. She was massively overwhelmed. We’ve all been there at some point. Or many of us. You feel the walls closing in. You’re not thinking straight and it feels like impending doom. What she needed was some compassion, empathy and proactive de-escalation. Not waiting until she gets a gun and tries killing herself. 1.) you NEVER allow the other side (Justin) in the house at the same time. 2.) you use proactive de-escalation from the minute she opens the door. Especially since she’s your colleague. Maybe, “Kelsey, you know we have to follow the court order but you will have your day to explain and everything will be fine. Soft tones and make sure she knows someone has her back. Do not allow any aggravating persons onto the premise. Especially Justin and his sister. The house is small, once you realize she’s not armed, you don’t overwhelm her with three cops surrounding her. Ask where the guns are and make sure one or two cops secure them while the other keeps her talking in the couch. THEN you let her gather her stuff and pack bags. Not before you secure the weapons. They fucked up.

@ltanoury I had my son at 22. I am 50 now. Kelsey handled this better than I would have if this happened to me and my son when he was 4 months old. I’d have wanted to end things too. She tried to not involve anyone. Taking the dog would have been the icing on the cake leaving me all alone

I appreciate your point. But, From a mental health perspective, she had been through a whirlwind of life events in less than 2 years ending in the betrayal by her fiancé and best friends…on top of being 4 months postpartum. So, the perfect storm could have been averted if a couple of female cops would have been sent to her home instead of three chauvinistic male pigs. AND they let jackass inside !! Absolutely unacceptable. ..
