Yesterday, workers protested @NYSDOLCommish Roberta Reardon, demanding she enforce the law! Why is she colluding w/insurance companies & sweatshops to rob & abuse us?! @GovKathyHochul must stop the corruption & support City Council's No More 24 Act to end NYC’s 24-hour workday!

A group of NYC home health aides is suing the state Department of Labor in an attempt to force the agency to resume an investigation of their allegations that they were not fully compensated for their time during 24-hour shifts. buff.ly/47GYBWh

Workers also called on Governor Hochul to help stop the corruption and end the 24-hour workday by supporting the No More 24 Act in the NY City Council.

After having finished investigations or calculating millions in back wages for workers doing 24h shifts, the DOL suddenly closed cases for hundreds. Workers will demand justice and an end to corruption between the government agency and insurance companies and home care agencies.

At today's NYS Senate hearing, @aaldef's Bethany Li describes how Kum Gang San hid its assets to avoid paying $2.7 million judgment that we secured in wage theft case for Asian and Latino workers. The #SWEATAct is needed to hold employers responsible for labor law violations.
