This is a sad message about one of our greatest ever players, a local lad, a one team man, he made the second highest amount of appearances for our club at 530. Ron has been suffering with his health over the years and is now in a care home, I have always been in contact with him and his son Andrew and I have his blessing to post this. Ron doesn’t remember winning the Championship twice, all of those European nights, then going on to stay with the club as a coach all the way through the 80s. A tough talking right back made him a fans favourite, he was voted Derby’s favourite right back of all time. Can we please send him some love, he will have the messages read out to him, let him know what he means and how he is treasured as one of our all time legends, a most loyal of footballers, he came as a player in 1960 and left his coaching role in the 80s. West Ham United can confirm that Michail Antonio is in a stable condition following a road traffic accident this afternoon in the Essex area. Michail is conscious and communicating and is currently under close supervision at a central London hospital. At this difficult time, we kindly ask everyone to respect the privacy of Michail and his family. The Club will make no further comment this evening, but will issue a further update in due course.

@phillowe1 @FunkMaster06 Nice of Phil, out of all the one’s Gibbo’s done, probably my favourite. I went down to see Jim at his home in Spain with Keith Loring only a couple of years later, sad to see how dementia had taken a grip, such a gent and sorely missed.

So this was a special night put on by @FunkMaster06 back in 2013, if you were there it is one of those nights that stays with you, since we lost Jim it makes it even more memorable as he was very relaxed and in the mood for fun. some of it can’t be posted up due to the times we now live in but as you will see from the clips he had a good sense of humour and must have been a great manager to work under. one of the last of the old school, rest in peace Jim Smith and you will be forever remembered by the fans who loved you ! #dcfcfans @dcfcofficial

Today I had surgery on my foot and ankle. Everyone at the ⁦@RIE_Lothian⁩ has been brilliant and thanks to the drugs in no pain! Going to be out of action for a few months but still reading emails and hopefully zooming next week!!!
