Despite what many politicians would have you believe, that this is a far-right fear mongering non-issue, boys have in fact been forcing their way onto girls' teams since the 1970s. Irrespective of any claimed "identify," boys have been pushing girls off their own athletic teams and podiums for 50 years, impacting thousands upon thousands of female athletes. Let's have a look at girls' state championships specifically in which boys have participated. This only includes instances in which the male may have received a medal or teams who have made it to the semi-finals of the state tournament. It does NOT include every instance of a male participating in a state tournament or championship. A protest is planned for tomorrow at 8:15AM before the @CIFSS Prelims for track and field begins at Yorba Linda High School. Abraham “AB” Hernandez from Jurupa Valley High School (who is a boy pretending to be a girl) is seeded first in 3 events: girls’ triple jump, long jump, and high jump. We’ve left voicemails and emails for the CIF Executive Director, Ron Nocetti, to find out their plans for how they will handle the placings, medals, and if girls will be displaced from making it the section finals. But we hear nothing. Last year CIF used a “pilot program” where they gave out duel medals and placings. Of course this just highlighted the absurdity of pretending men can be women. 🧵
