@WhiteBabyFac Yet, many of you have spent the last decade calling masculine men toxic, and useless. S-tier hypocrisy calling those same men weak after women and mainstream media ostracized them for a decade.

Some say that women don't like nice guys, but we really just don't like weak men. A lot of men who are very weak and unattractive consider themselves "nice guys" when they're really just incapable of taking advantage of women or doing anything aggressive. They don't go around breaking hearts or starting fights because they can't attract women or handle conflict with men. As a way of coping with their weakness they'll think of themselves as "nice guys" and complain that women are only attracted to jerks. And by jerks they mean men who have the capability to transgress the kinds of boundaries that they're too weak to transgress. This is also sometimes used as an insult against women ("women only like jerks, they hate nice guys") when women are actually reasonable to not be interested in weak men because a weak man can't protect his family. Women do like men who are strong, assertive, and kind - that's the classic Prince Charming that practically every woman wants. Some women will go for "bad boys" who may bring chaos into their life because an amoral strong man is still more attractive than a weak "nice guy".

My wife is good with it cause she said I take care of myself so I stay in good shape, I make good money, I have a good personality, am a good father and husband and am good in bed 😂. @OGRapture1 @philindamiddle @yonann She got lucky! in the city especially it is like the hunger games. Very small portion of eligible, marriageable men and an overproliferation of single females. This creates the wrong incentives obviously, and the men just cycle through all of them and never make a decision

@Beringia2023 @philindamiddle @yonann This is VERY true. My sister lived in the East Village for many years. Competition amongst females is fierce in those cities because there is such a ratio imbalance between the genders. She ended up marrying the guy she dated in college here in Michigan.

I can’t speak to what it is like there, but this is not the norm in the NYC Metro area. I’ve lived in other areas though, and notice the men are more like what you are describing

@Beringia2023 @philindamiddle @yonann There are lots of men like me, my entire friend group is like me, but they all met their partners very quickly out of college. That's the whole point, the young immature boys will grow into confident/capable men. The support of a good woman makes that outcome 10x more likely.

She didn't care, supported me every step, helped pay bills, encouraged me, etc. Fast forward to today, she can have anything she wants, because she earned it.

Back in the day, there were plenty men straight out of HS who were marriage-minded, ready and mature. these days, not so much and that is the problem I am speaking to.
