@EllenYChang Actually I think Tony has made it….his class went up significantly being in your presence. A tad of a drag on yours being in his presence…..thanks for the sacrifice.

@Codie_Sanchez A mentor taught me years ago that we lead from many spots on the org chart. If you haven’t been doing so, you shouldn’t be leader. 😉 but - loved the rest!!

@Codie_Sanchez If you haven’t already been daily demonstrating the traits of leader, you shouldn’t be leader. If your daily work ethic and skills haven’t demonstrated in the daily “audition”, you shouldn’t be leader.

When you move from a worker to the leader, you have to change everything. What no one tells you about being a CEO:

How many slices of pizza can a college student eat?My former college paper, the @purdueexponent, has 25 students reporting, editing and shooting photographs tonight. I am estimating six slices for a total of 150 slices or 15 pizzas. #PizzaForReporters

@IBAT_CLW 1 lit match is not a range fire….especially when standing above the match is a person with a bucket of water. But that story isn’t so eye-catching…..

Here comes the bank crisis nonsense again. Guys, the failure of one rural bank from what appears to be fraud does not a crisis make.

Does anyone have a personal satellite phone? Any recommendations?

@EllenYChang Some satellite phones can also create “hot spots” that a cell phone can use for messaging and some calls. I’ve started recommending something like this device as well:

@EllenYChang I recommend satellites phones to all my bank clients for their business resumption emergency plans. Cloud cover can create some issues but they typically can work from anywhere. Hand crank battery chargers a part of that plan as well.

Note to self: will NEVER be using @Lowes for an installation again! This is beyond me how a national chain can SO botch up a simple fence install -

Status: @Lowes asked me to move to DMs for details, did so. Their response was a referral to an installation team that hasn’t been able to help me for 3 weeks, including their scheduled delivery of materials that were sent to an incorrect address AND ….

6 weeks from signing agreement and still not started - due to botched deliveries, zero reliable communication from @Lowes or their contractor, 2 missed install dates and now waiting for a third date (and last, hit it or lose it!). The rest of my improvement list goes elsewhere!

Escaping The 0 View Jail Starting a new channel can be incredibly discouraging, especially if you encounter the 0 view issue. But lucky for you, we have a solution for that. When you start a new YouTube channel, you should take a few things into consideration. It’s important that YouTube doesn’t identify you as a robot. So do your best at acting like a real human being.  But how do you get identified as one? I’ll tell you exactly. So after signing up with an email, start watching videos and do things you normally do on YouTube.  Meaning that you scroll through Shorts and watch all your favorite YouTubers from that account. You don’t necessarily need to accumulate a 10-hour-long screen time, instead you can just pick any long video and let that roll while you’re cooking or reading. This lets YouTube know that you’re a real person and not just a program that’s creating hundreds of channels on autopilot. I call this the warm-up period. This phase should not take more than 2 days, but the longer you wait, the better. So if you are planning to upload Shorts later on, the best thing that you can do right now is to create the channels today and start using them in everyday life, watching videos on them. Now, this isn’t something that’s going to guarantee you 100% success when it comes to the 0 view issue. But there’s something else that has helped me a lot every time I encountered this seemingly usual problem. Follow this rule if you really want to make sure that you don’t encounter this issue ever: Day 1: Watch videos, don’t post Day 2: Watch videos, don’t post Day 3: Posting Day Day 4: Skip Day 5: Posting Day Day 6: Skip Day 7: Posting Day After that you analyze your channel (only after) If at least 1/3 Shorts got around 10K views, then keep posting every 2 days and see how your channel reacts. If at least 2/3 Shorts got around 10K views, then you can start posting daily. If all of them are at 0 or close to that, then stop the channel and repeat the process on a new one, while still keeping an eye on your old one, because they sometimes pick up later. So, every time a fresh account keeps getting between 0 and 1000 views, I skip a day of uploading and wait.  However even aged channels aren’t guaranteed to do the magic right away. You still have to warm those up with the technique I mentioned above. By following this plan, you can minimize your chances of getting this issue.  I get it around 2 out of 15-20 channels, so you should be good. If you made it all the way down here.. Then congrats, I bet you’re in the top 1%🙂 This is just a snippet of my 48 page guide Comment and I’ll send it to you

@JillCastilla An important lesson we as leaders need to instill in those we train and mentor - we have theirs and they should learn to have others. One of the best inspirations!

"I have your back." Someone told a version of this to me today & it washed away a lingering anxiety - what a gift! Here's a great reminder to communicate this assurance more, encouraging team members & friends to lean in confidently knowing they're supported.
