@OpnAccessCardio Ample benefits. She underwent surgical ablation and appendectomy. Now in a beatiful sinus rhythm and anticoag terminated. Heart function will recover and stroke risk has been elimimated. Even afib recurs in the future, perfect appendectomy continues to protect her brain.

TOP-HAT is top notch! Here is a nice little hack to tackle persistent bleeds after Perclose + wire removal. The technique was recently described by Ahmad et al in @ccijournal 👉🏼 doi.org/10.1002/ccd.70… 88 y/o man s/p Impella assisted LM PCI. We thought we had successful closure of the 8 Fr access with Preclose. Alas! TOP-HAT worked like a charm! No more bleeding in <1 min!
