@HedyFry Why not lend your talents to the ministry of health which matches your expertise and let the people who know about defense talk about arctic security

Canada is an Arctic nation.  As the Arctic becomes more important strategically and economically our sovereignty in the North must be backed by concrete investment; in infrastructure, defence, and community development. We must act decisively to protect and defend our Arctic as a sovereign nation in the short and long term.  substack.com/redirect/9e323…

Immigration sentence discounts for criminal non-citizens are wildly unpopular; even the very liberal-leaning Canadian subreddits think that banning them is a no-brainer. Disappointing to see this voted down but I look forward to seeing the Liberals squirm over it next election.
Kelly DeRidder, MP@KellyDeRidderMP

Justice should not be controversial. Conservatives brought forward common-sense Bill C-220 to protect Canadians and the Liberals chose to oppose it. Their priorities could not be clearer.

@mariekemph I am sorry this happened to your vehicle and the negligence from their side. Imo (I am an Indian), the Indians who immigrated to Canada in the last ~7 years are the same ones who undermine India. I am even considering moving back just to get away from these indecent folks

I am so done with foreigners and their anchor babies. This morning while taking my daughter to school, I got hit by an Indian teenage girl who didn’t even apologize for running the red light. She was more concerned about the wreck being ruled against her. Did she ask if we were OK? Nope! This happened right near my neighborhood. My husband arrived well before her parents did. When he went to check on her, because that’s what decent human beings do, she said she didn’t like the fact that I was mad at her for running the red light. My brain can’t even comprehend that mindset! Did her parents ask if we were OK when they showed up? Nope! They didn’t even acknowledge our presence. The level of rage I have right now has me shaking. Will she be found at fault? Given that she ran the red light while turning left across the highway and cut into the turn lane, I had a green arrow light, and I had already checked the intersection twice before starting to pull out, I would think so. The girl was flying. She admitted that she “didn’t notice” me given her speed. Am I still worried that her parents will try to scam their way out of paying for damages? Absolutely.

@SaskProsProject Why not advocate for a system that allows judges to be elected? All this does is transfer appointment power to premiers.

@echipiuk Respectfully I disagree. This just transfers the power to provincial leaders. The democratic solution is allowing people to vote for judges.

This is a positive and necessary step. Canada needs to take a serious look at how we appoint judges to the superior trial courts, courts of appeal, and the Supreme Court of Canada. These are foundational institutions, and the process should reflect the importance of public confidence, transparency, and regional input. Strong institutions depend on trust. Reforming the appointments process is part of how we build and maintain that trust.
Danielle Smith@ABDanielleSmith

Canada needs to reform how we appoint judges to the superior trial courts and courts of appeal of the provinces, as well as to the Supreme Court of Canada. I am joining with Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe, Ontario Premier Doug Ford, and Quebec Premier François Legault, in writing to Prime Minister Mark Carney requesting a new, collaborative approach, wherein our governments can meaningfully engage in filling judicial positions in our respective jurisdictions. Full letter below ⬇️ @PremierScottMoe @fordnation @francoislegault @MarkJCarney

@erik_thorvalds They must be parents and grandparents of the brain drain group who immigrate to the USA. Hence they don’t care to vote for a party that’s going to fix Canada

🚨Canada's silent exodus is underway. Not the loud dissidents or activists, it's the apolitical middle: business owners, producers, families quietly moving assets and lives abroad or 'back home'. Everyone knows someone who's left or planning to. The dreamers are acting. This is signal, not noise. People no longer believe they can vote their way out of the future they see here. If Alberta's sovereignty referendum fails, expect an exodus that will shock the country. Just like in California, Canada's productive class is starting to walk away - and they're taking the tax base, jobs, and hope with them. #CdnPoli

Alberta Students would pay close to 140,000 for a 4 year engineering degree at the University of Toronto. Scholarships for Indians at the U of T is just another example or Carney screwing Albertans. I wonder if Carney plans to give them Citizenship along with the scholarship?

🚨 THIS IS A DISGUSTING, OUTRIGHT BETRAYAL OF OUR OWN KIDS!!! 🚨 Mark Carney just announced $25 MILLION to hand over 220 students from INDIA scholarships worth a jaw-dropping $113,000 EACH at the University of Toronto. Meanwhile, Ontario is straight-up GUTTING OSAP — slashing grants from 85% down to a pathetic 25%, ending the tuition freeze (hikes incoming), and piling even MORE crushing debt on Canadian students (already averaging $28,000+ at graduation). Our own kids are drowning in insane tuition, unaffordable housing, record debt, and can’t even afford food or rent in their OWN DAMN COUNTRY… and this government’s response? Screw our children — let’s roll out the red carpet with elite funding for foreign students instead! This isn’t a mistake. This is a slap in the face. This is complete madness. This is disgusting, backwards betrayal that treats Canadian youth like second-class citizens while bending over backwards for internationals. HOW THE HELL DOES THIS MAKE SENSE?! CANADIAN STUDENTS FIRST — FULL STOP! 🇨🇦 Are you pissed off too? Our kids deserve better than being screwed over like this! #CanadaFirst #StudentsFirst #OSAPBetrayal #MarkCarney #WakeUpCanada #StudentDebtCrisis #EnoughIsEnough #PrioritizeOurOwn

@PardyBruce @nationalpost Prisons are government-funded .Currently facilities are full and a lot of their prisoners have complex needs. I suspect this is what drives the reduced sentences. Would it help if we changed to a prison as a business model? P.S I don’t at all agree with the status quo.

😡 ABSOLUTELY TERRIFYING – WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON IN WINNIPEG?! Is this Doctor or Engineer doing house calls?? Lock your damn doors RIGHT NOW, folks! Last night this East Indian man was BANGING and POUNDING on our front door for a FULL HOUR, trying to force it open while we were inside scared to death! After an hour of pure terror he just strolls down the street, does the EXACT SAME THING to our neighbors… and then SMASHES THEIR WINDOW to pieces! This is NOT okay. Winnipeg is officially Canada’s MOST VIOLENT CITY with a violent crime rate of 675 per 100,000 people – more than DOUBLE the national average! @WinnipegPolice How many more break-ins, smash-and-grabs and suspicious creeps before something actually changes?! Has this happened to YOU or your neighbors lately? We all need to stay alert! SHARE this if you’re sick of feeling unsafe in your own home! 🚨🏠🔒 #Winnipeg #WinnipegCrime #LockYourDoors #CrimeWave #StayVigilant #EnoughIsEnough

As a confirmed Alberta Separatist supporting Independence (I signed the Petition) I will still vote in a Federal Election if one is held before Alberta becomes an independent nation. I do not trust the @CPC_HQ and @PierrePoilievre to fairly represent Alberta, but I will always vote for the least objectionable party. The @liberal_party and @NDP are easily the MOST objectionable No matter how committed to Alberta Independence we may be, we must still vote in Federal elections if Alberta is still held hostage as a province in Canada
Alberta Alex 🆎@WesternIndepen1

Yes. Im still voting CPC even if it doesn't matter. It's a tactical error (and moral one) to think that Liberals elected in Alberta helps the Independence cause. It doesn't. They would call it proof of unity. People would even believe it. Utterly demoralizing.

@ikwilson I fully support the independence movement. However, I have slightly disagree. The Liberals have green lit resource extraction, port reform, and Wind West in Eastern Canada. The revenue from these should help the provinces withdraw from Alberta transfer payments

No federal party is going to fix equalization or Alberta’s core structural grievances. That is the reality Albertans need to understand. I also discuss the potential injunction threat and why it is urgent to sign the official petition before April 7. Watch here: youtube.com/watch?v=BsrKJv…

@erik_thorvalds I think the Carney government is extracting resources and building ports in Quebec to help these provinces become less reliant on transfer payments. The bigger concern is the Westminister Parliamentary system and the practice of giving concessions to some provinces (ie Quebec)
