All the break-beam sensors now fitted for the outside track on my layout. Need to tidy up my @Raspberry_Pi Pico before adding those for the inside track.

Success! I’ve got the crossing light sequence starting automatically when my train passes the break-beam sensors at the back of the layout, and only finishing when it has completely passed the pair at the front, so should work for a train of any length.

Delivery! Got myself some more break-beams - and a replacement voltage regulator for the one I blew up.

Different one today. My Samsung washing machine stopped with an "SC" error, which means it can't pump water out. This machine is 7 years old and has never given us any issues. I had to take it apart to access the pump which I had never done. Will I fix it? Find out below! 👇

The previous owner of my Hawk kit had made a start on painting the seats and passengers for the "Exclusive 'Hinge-up' fuselage", which I thought I'd finish off. But, I realised my Dan Air Comet would have had a 3-2 seat configuration, so back to Tinkercad for a bespoke interior.

@Piotr_Sinda @Raspberry_Pi Good idea. I plan to disguise the sensors as some track side equipment - or perhaps even some bushes.

With a couple of scale model projects done and dusted, I thought I’d spend the day with the railway - reprogramming the @Raspberry_Pi Pico in readiness for the break beam sensors to trigger my crossing lights.

Successfully set up activation of my crossing lights with a break beam sensor over the other side of the layout. Unfortunately also blew up my voltage regulator that provides power for the Pico off the track, so we have a make-do solution back on the USB cable.

Finished with the painting stage! I chose @thearmypainter dark brown speed paint for the wooden decks. I'm quite happy with the over all look of it.
