If we get a top 3 pick in this year’s draft then it will all be worth it
But I think we probably traded Deni a year too early. He was an ascending player on a great contract. One more good year with us and we probably could have flipped him for 3-4 firsts in better draft classes

If we kept Deni we'd have been stuck in purgatory forever. He has to be an "in-shape Luka" to get the Blazers into the play-in game. The Wiz did it right. Went full tank. Drafted correctly. And now are WAYYYYY better positioned than if we kept Deni.

@GregFinberg If he can’t see the vision already….that’s concerning. This is a prime opportunity for him. He needs us just as much as we need him. I mean….thats why we got him for peanuts. He needs to humble himself a bit is all….in my opinion.

I might be in the minority on this, but I don’t see anything wrong with AD’s response.
He’s under contract & said he intends to play in Washington. He just wants some reassurance from the front office that the team is done rebuilding and will actually try to compete next season.
