I'm not an economist but from what I have seen both sides have a strong argument for or against capitalism,also your claim that people will be lifted from poverty through capitalism despite its flaws is not true because Critics have argued that while capitalism moves people above a "statistical" poverty line, it often keeps them in relative poverty or "working poverty," where they have income but lack security, healthcare, or housing. Look at Inequality as well: Capitalism tends toward the concentration of wealth. Even if the "floor" rises, the "ceiling" rises much faster, leading to social instability and a lack of social mobility.
and lastly it is hard to reach a conclusion in this type of conversations because metrics and time frames differs.
