War in Ukraine (as of 02.05.26): Sumy direction – Miropolie... Today, the Russian Ministry of Defense officially announced the liberation of Miropolie. A very large village (once even a district center of the Sumy region) located near the border with the Kursk region (before the war, more than 2,000 people lived there). The battles for it lasted from the end of February to the end of April. And over these two months, our soldiers, step by step, house by house, cleared it of enemy soldiers. Moreover, it helped us that the command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, fearing the wrath of their Fuhrer, did not report their problems on the site to higher authorities. And now we have at our disposal an excellent base for accumulation. And also a good springboard for further advancement into the depths of the Sumy region. The obvious answer would be ground reconnaissance of tactical obstacles in the border region in preparation for an offensive on Sumy.
Drones can't really ferret out minefields with any degree of consistent success unless they've been very sloppily laid.

Hezbollah attacked northern Israel with several long range rockets. Out of 4 rockets launched to Haifa, 1 was intercepted by the iron dome while the rest impacted. Israeli media claim the impacts occurred in open areas. A Scud ballistic missile was launched from the Bekaa Valley of eastern Lebanon to central Israel, but failed in flight and sirens were not activated. Additionally, a salvo of rockets was launched towards the city of Nahariyya.
