@the_irv_m_ @TrashPanda08x They push highway projects with full local opposition through all the time. The gridlock exists because people in charge want it to.

@TrashPanda08x Wow. It's almost like you have to ignore that they have a ONE PARTY STATE where you can just commission projects with little to no gridlock.

Just a normal day in occupied, pre-war Iran. This is what the "No war with Iran" people supp: the suffering and oppression of 90 million Iranians by Muslim Nazis.

@RadLordLewd I'm not sure who this is going for, since left wing people won't watch because she is a monster, racists won't watch because black people are in it, and Christians won't watch because witchcraft. The few diehard gen x fans who are not online and their kids I guess.

@n6532l @JillBelch They put them on top of mountains we can't do anything else with anyway where I live so I couldn't say. Though I have seen personal use wind turbines for home power on farms.

Almost every sentence here is wrong Wind farms allow farming to continue around them, their land footprint is small, &they produce the cheapest new electricity available Turbines are steel, concrete & copper, & much is reusable or recyclable Calling it a scam doesn’t make it one.

@flexibledragnet @JillBelch While failures are low, 2% will fail in the first 2 years. That's about 4 million dollars just lost. Extreme weather and maintenance issues will take out another 6% within 3 years. A total lifespan of about 18 years and the turbines and blades must be replaced.

@MotorWeek We need to add pedestrian impact tests as well. Vans aren't so bad, but large pickups are just stupidly dangerous to people.

In their continuing efforts, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has begun evaluating cargo vans and Class 3 pickups, with intentions on releasing occupant protection ratings for these vehicles this spring. Launching with these vehicles, they are also looking to expand into box trucks and tractor-trailers. READ MORE: champ.ly/wgvw_el4

@LinkofSunshine The south has been doing will in the decentralized manufacturing of modern times, they have no union culture so they get paid way less than the rest of the west, while having education level that is not worse enough to be a problem and low taxes.

@faith_vtch Living in American suburbs the air is actually so bad outside, especially in the summer. There is more CO2, and other poisons in the air out there. Especially when you have an old man neighbor that mows daily and idles his project car while smoking cigars.

@odyth @ThingsHiddenn Electricity is abundant, and with a combination of nuclear and the green stuff it could be free. Or we could nationalize oil. Radical change is the way.

@wheatfrom @TerribleMaps I heard of a store or event where you could ask them to deep-fry anything. Americans love a good deep-frier and I know several people who have one at home. If you like fried food, visiting a state fair is usually a good bet.

@alanthefisher It's an ambitious project in a country where nothing ambitious has happened in the infrastructure world in way too long. Of course it will have problems, it is also some very nice track and when it is done I will actually travel to California for the first time to see it.

do I think that CAHSR and the state of California have had issues with this project? of course, and I have talked about the problems in multiple videos at this point. But also this project is still the farthest along high speed rail project in the country, and thats why its the boogie man to them. By the way, they are now laying rail on the track bed, its further along than you'd thing based on the singular image that chuds keep posting over and over youtube.com/watch?v=mMM3hO…

there are so many astroturfed conservatives against CAHSR because the second that there is a working train between 2 cities in the US that can hit 200mph it is fundamentally over for the argument of "that doesn't work here" The oil lobby will do everything possible to stop that
Central Valley Politics@CV__Politics

just learned there are actual living humans who believe the california high speed rail project will ever be completed LMFAOOO
