Well, it’s official!!! A new year, a new role! 🙂 What an honor to be sworn in today as the new County Commissioner for Precinct 3 in Tarrant County. It is an incredible responsibility and one I do not take lightly. I am excited to get to work and do what I can to ensure Tarrant County stays the best county in the best state in the best country in the world!
A HUGE thanks to those who participated in today’s ceremony. John Huffman was an awesome emcee and kept things moving. It was a privilege to have our Pastor, Keith Sanders, open us up in prayer. Our terrific Justice of the Peace, Bill Brandt, led us in the national anthem. Our oldest son Jeremiah led us in the pledges. Our oldest daughter Hannah Sue, made some very moving and eloquent remarks. It was a privilege to have Judge Tim O'Hare administer the oath. We would not have run without his urging and I can’t wait to work with on the Commissioner’s Court. And my Dad finished us off with a wonderful prayer. And a few jokes. 🙂
Thank you to all of our friends and family who took time out of their holiday schedules to be with us today. It meant a lot. And a BIG thank you to Chandler Merritt, Tom Stallings, and the entire Tarrant County Facilities team for making everything so perfect today. Y’all are awesome!

And would not have wanted to take on this challenge without the support and love from Jennie and the kids. For all of you who know our family, you know Jennie is the rock that holds it all together. I love living life with her, and so grateful that she supports my serving in public office. And our kids are just incredible in that regard as well. It’s a team effort in the Krause House!
Now that it’s official, it’s time to get to work for the good people of Precinct 3 and Tarrant County. God bless and Happy New Year!
