I'm grateful to my colleague @RepRaskin for his kind words and friendship. The law enforcement officers on scene, along with a call from a neighbor, prevented something far worse that day. Unfortunately, not every story ends that way. Extremism and political violence are on the rise and threatening communities across the country. What happened here can happen anywhere and to anyone.

My colleague & friend Jared Moskowitz was the target of an assassination plot by an armed & dangerous fanatical antisemite who was just sentenced to 25 years in prison. My good friend @RepJamesComer subpoenaed Pam Bondi for "possible mismanagement" of the Epstein files. "Possible?" Let's remind him.

I'm proud to announce we have secured a $20,000 @NEAarts grant for @browardcenter. Our community is strong because of the vibrant artists that call it home. I'm proud to see this funding help expand access to the arts and support the next generation here in Broward County.

This tragic event must not be covered up. Congress must be briefed by the Department of Defense. We must release the findings of the investigation and there must be transparency and accountability with the American people as this war continues.

The all-too-familiar reports of an active shooter at Temple Israel in West Bloomfield, Michigan are horrifying. Let's be clear: no one and no faith should ever fear for their safety in a house of worship. I’m praying for the congregation and for the law enforcement on the scene.

Our communities are better because of women like these who dedicate their time, talent, and leadership to serving others. This Women’s History Month, we are grateful for their work and proud to celebrate the difference they make every day.
