I remember filling this thing with the hottest water I could get, and then holding it between my legs while wearing summer PTs when it was below freezing outside to stay warm. When the run was over, the water would be the perfect drinking temperature.

You said nothing about retired military personnel who are just as well trained. Every time that I go to the base, I have to leave my firearm at home, making me defenseless from the time I leave my home until I return. Not even allowed to lock it up in my vehicle while on the base.

Our military installations have been turned into gun-free zones—leaving our service members vulnerable and exposed. That ends today.

But Brady, they sent people to Master Fitness training school. Hired certified strength and conditioning coaches. Spent millions on CrossFit equipment, high intensity, interval, training, blah blah blah. Then the first sergeant designates that everybody goes on a 5 mile run. Trust me you’re 100% accurate. I got tired of fighting so I became a green beret. PT should be at the lowest level of leadership group thinking with oversight. You can tell the units to do it properly. Keep being hard

@EODHappyCaptain Two non-troop positions in a row? You realize you’re killing your career. While the rewards of those positions can be great personally, lack of S3, XO time is an almost non selection guarantee. Just a veteran giving advice. Enjoy your posts.

As my time in Florida working at EOD school comes to an end, it’s time to look to what’s next. I found my calling being around the next generation of leaders and EOD technicians. Mentoring and developing students has been far more rewarding than I ever imagined. This summer, I will be taking an Army ROTC position to continue that mentorship and development. Soldiers in the Army deserve great leaders. Hopefully I can help create them.
