This is happening across small businesses. We are penalised for trying to do the right thing and employ staff. It would be so much cheaper to take on self employed sub contractors who would then lose so many workers rights. Labour budget has failed small businesses massively

Minimum wage up, workers rights strengthened, NHS reform and investment, free breakfast clubs. Train companies into public ownership, VAT on private schools, WFA for the poorest, no increase on tax for working people. This is the @UKLabour I voted for.

Maybe small businesses shouldn’t be attacked for trying to grow, and employ others. We already spend a huge amount on staff National Insurance and for that being hiked even more will mean some businesses will have to either increase prices or reduce staff numbers. @JeremyVineon5

We are warning businesses about “bailiff scam”. One business I know lost £2k We have the phone number they use but neither @actionfrauduk or @LancsPolice would take any details. 3 businesses phones in matter of minutes but police do nothing #bescamsafe

@BBCLancashire Interesting this is being investigated. Is that because it has a “police” link? We tried to report fraud today with both @LancsPolice and @actionfrauduk and was told they wouldn’t even take details

Police are investigating three reports of courier fraud in East Lancashire. In all three cases - vulnerable victims were called by people pretending to be police officers and were asked to withdraw money then exchange it for Euros which would then be collected. This happened in Accrington, Wilpshire and Belthorn and officers say the force or a bank will never call to ask someone to withdraw money like this.

@safenorthants @LancsPolice @actionfrauduk Crazy isn’t it. It’s like not investigating an attempted burglary because they didn’t manage to steal anything. If we get two phone calls they’d investigate… so you only get to report a crime if it happens twice. Woeful

Just tried to report an active fraud to both the police @LancsPolice and @actionfrauduk and neither could take details. No wonder fraud/crime is prevalent m.facebook.com/story.php?stor…

Has anyone successfully stopped @MrJosephValente spam texting their business? It’s getting ridiculous now. We’ve never given him our number and he’s set it up that you can’t block his 😡 @Ofcom is this something you can help with?

@HMRCgovuk 🧵1) It’s impossible to speak to HMRC these days. I’ve spent all afternoon on hold, and getting cut off each time after about 25 mins each time. When you work exceptional hard to run a business based on honesty & integrity, and therefore want help and advice from the Tax office
