Hundreds of analyses have already been made on App Store Pulse, which is nice. My AI usage thanks you 😂 Btw, you can download your report with the button. Show us what rating you all get!

Introducing App Store Pulse. Only for Shopify App Owners. It's a tool that will help you improve your app ranking on the Shopify App Store and understand the algorithm. The first version lets you get a free audit of your app listing using AI and my own experience. If you want a free audit, just like the post and comment "GO," and I'll send you the link.

@soulchildpls @ShopifyDevs Even without Admin UI Extension, in normal app, from time to time users keep getting the error of “Shopify internal error” or “Shopify global not defined” which comes from Shopify app bridge not loading properly. Out of app developer control, but we get blamed.

I will never understand how the Shopify app's relevance score works. I am sure there is a bug, but I can't prove it 😅 The app is basically a "combined listings" app. It is specified in name, in description, basically everywhere, but Shopify ads algorithm says it is not a relevant keyword 😅 This makes it inefficient to run ads in this case.

Absolute pinch me moment, @Shopify recognising my app PML Stock Take (Inventory Count) as one of the best apps for inventory management, in the entire Shopify ecosystem! 💚💚💚 shopify.com/blog/inventory…

Need a Storefront API token for working with your shop? Today I learned about the Headless app from Shopify. Installs as a sales channel but you can create a public access token to do things where you might need to leverage some storefront customizations. News to me! But this apparently has been around for a while. If you're working on Shopify storefronts and can't use the legacy custom apps route, this works.

Ah yes… the joy of using Shopify Polaris Web Components 😅 Installed @shopify/polaris-types, wired everything up… and still had to suppress errors. The best part? inlineSize actually works perfectly, it’s just missing from the types 🤦‍♂️ Turns out others have reported the same gap between features and typings community.shopify.dev/t/s-buttons-in… Polaris is powerful… but sometimes the types feel like a side quest 🧩

Been a @Shopify Partner since 2014, running Wiser AI app along with other 9 apps. Just sharing something I came across recently that I think deserves some attention. Saw an app dev literally copying an established app's name just to ride their search traffic. This is happening more than it should. A few things that could help if Shopify can look into this: - Run an AI check on app names at submission — if it's too similar to an existing app, hold it for review. Simple. - Scan submitted screenshots too — copied UI and designs should get flagged, not just names - Any change to app name or listing after approval should trigger a re-review, not go live automatically - Audit live listings regularly for policy violations — email the developer to fix it. Most of this can be automated. - New apps with zero reviews shouldn't show up alongside established ones in search. Let them earn visibility first. - If a brand new partner account violates policies on their first submission itself, suspend it. Don't give bad actors multiple chances. - Increase the app submission fee for new partner accounts — a higher barrier to entry will naturally filter out people who are just here to copy and clutter the store - Most of this is Level 1 stuff that AI can handle. The App Store has a great reputation and these small changes can help keep it that way. Just some suggestions so as to do quality control on app store. I saw it happened with Pagefly as well and that app is also live. @Shopify @ShopifyDevs

This is a first, app dev straight up copying our name for some free app store juice. Ridiculous.

Would be way too difficult to coordinate having someone discretely take photos while in the salt FLATS without her noticing. But I wanted to make sure I captured the moment I proposed. Modern problems require modern solutions, and so I managed to catch multiple angles solo! 😄

Several Shopify stores closed yesterday and I found that app status is showing uninstalled too. More than 100 in a single day. I think Shopify sent notices to several stores for products they r selling. Anyone else noticed the same thing? #shopify

@Sam115200 My observations are these stores didn't pay Shopify fees for months or years (you will see the subscription charge frozen in history , if they have activated it before), then Shopify will remove the store and force uninstall all apps, and become redacted

@nick_wesselman It is in source control, after it was commited to git, then I added it to gitignore using the command I shared, so new changes to it are ignored.

`shopify app dev` users -- Should we start updating the application_url in your app toml again when using dynamic tunnel URLs? We stopped because we thought it was unnecessary noise in your `git status`, but I'm seeing that there may be cases where it's useful.

Loving the experience of using @mintlify for documentation. I used it to build the docs site for my Shopify app → docs.checkoutrules.com, and it’s been fantastic to work with. ✨ Mintlify makes it easy to create beautiful, developer-friendly documentation with minimal setup. It also includes built-in search, analytics, and AI features to help users find answers faster. 🚀

Nice comparison breakdown Sam!

After testing @crisp_chat vs @GleapHQ for customer support inside my Shopify app, here’s my honest breakdown. Both tools aim to solve the same problem but approach it very differently. Short version: • Crisp = fast live chat • Gleap = full product feedback + support platform Thread 🧵👇

One last thing from my personal experience. I’ve been using Gleap for a few months now, and its AI features have been a game changer. Their AI agent Kai now handles 3–4 customer chats per day completely on its own. Only a couple of chats get escalated to me when the AI can’t find a solution. For a solo Shopify app founder, that kind of automation is incredibly valuable to free up my time.
