Ben is spot on here. IMO the Players has elevated its status ever since the tour stopped pushing the fifth major narrative. Now they’re on the offensive again.

I know the PGA Tour/PLAYERS started this with the March/major advert, and some will say it's worked, but for me the tournament has thrived since embracing its clear status: the best non-major tournament in golf. Something has to be that and PLAYERS has thrived in the role.

I will do everything in my power to ensure we never play Army Navy in Atlanta Atlanta has zero history. It would be a nightmare to get the students there. Army Navy is not meant to be indoors either

In 2026, Atlanta will have a chance to bid for a future Army-Navy game. There are some major logistical issues involved, but both academies are interested in exploring the possibility. It would be such a great event to bring to Mercedes-Benz Stadium. ajc.com/sports/2025/12…
