Just watched a 10-minute comp of Mateus Fernandes and I can't believe I didn't watch enough of him at West Ham. The boy is good. Would be a very, very good signing for us, especially considering he's just 21 and already so good in the Premier League.

Marinakis is a certified structural elite at the negotiating table, holding out for a guaranteed British record fee like he's selling prime Zidane. @ediological Like I keep saying, United fans and the British press put him on a pedestal he doesn’t belong on. He’s an average footballer who was overhyped to levels he never deserved. He’s now suffering the consequences of that. There are a lot of limitations in his overall balling ability.

In other words, they simply didn’t think he was good enough. There was no financial obstacle… He just didn’t do enough to justify the investment.
Most importantly, this decision wasn’t made by people who “hate” him, as his supporters often claim. It was a football decision made by professionals whose job is to assess players objectively.
So who gets the blame now? The usual excuses have run out. The reality is simple: they looked at him, weighed up the cost, and decided he wasn’t good enough.
