@IainMacBets I never said I was addicted to gambling, and don’t believe I was. I signed a self-exclusion form to cut myself off, because I didn’t like what it was doing to me. I’m sorry if that doesn’t fit your preferred view of gambling, Lain.

5. Finally, I’m kind of amused/touched by how many readers have expressed concern for me. I’ve had many people come up in the past week to praise the writing/reporting in the story, and then lean in, lower their voice, and ask, “Are you OK?” I am! I haven't gambled since the Super Bowl, and don’t plan to again.
