4 years ago, a day before my birthday, I was given admission into anatomy instead of MBBS, despite having As and Bs in WAEC and 331 in JAMB.
My birthday was spent at that school pleading my case. I remember my dad being on his knees, asking them to reconsider.

@_NuCheese @ekentadaniel This is a lie, I finished from UNN. I got admitted with an even better grade than him and I got Physiology. In 2018 you could even check the results of other candidates. 4 lists came out and someone with 330 didn't get on one.

Just watched that lady accusing Intern Drs of doing a hysterectomy on her / removing her uterus. We just have to set some facts straight. 1. Intern Drs don't do hysterectomies. If done, it's under very strict supervision. The most they do is assist 2. A hysterectomy is a complicated procedure. Even when House Officers are doing them, they inform specialists. 3. The decision to do a hysterectomy is multidisciplinary. These patients always end up in ICU. Interns don't admit to ICU 4. A hysterectomy is literally the last decision anyone wants to make, and in most cases it's to save someone's life. Misinformation at its peak. Do better @ntvuganda

3 years ago as an house officer, I earned 185k, which at the time equal $250
Today, I'm earning less than 400ish as a medical officer, which equals about $285
I call that progress.
After I finish the residency that I want to start soon, $ will be 4-5k by then and I'd earning about a million monthly, which will be a whopping $200.

I can never forget what happened during my NYSC days. I served in Lokoja, Kogi state. And I'm not sure I've ever seen any set of men, who are more promiscuous, than I saw there. My PPA was dominated by men. I mean these were married men. They were "religious", five times praying men, with their konk perfumes, and senator outfits. And their advances were straight to the point, like they obviously wanted to sleep with you. It was very bothersome, cos I had never seen anything like that before. Maybe they were fascinated, I don't know. I was a fresh, naive girl, far away from home. It didn't take me long to notice that it was an open secret. Almost everyone was like that! Long story short, one day, one of them told me point blank “If I want to marry you, I would. All it would take me is three days. Three days, I'd fast and do some prayers, and you're mine”. I could never describe how scary that was! I feared for my life. What was he going to do? Was he going to do some diabolic “prayers” like we see in movies? Was he going to use charms? What if he did that, and I couldn't go back home? I'll not write the remaining thoughts in my head. It also made me wonder how many girls they had done that to! I just stayed more alert, and prayerful. I'm just grateful to God that it never happened.
