BREAKTHROUGH: In a major breakthrough, Namibian scientists in collaboration with their Chinese counterparts have successfully developed a new fuel made from Cape fur seal oil. Dubbed “seal fuel”, this innovative biofuel is set to revolutionize Namibia’s energy sector, amid rising retail prices for petrol and diesel. The new seal fuel has been tested in trucks owned Kambwa Trading, which have been able to deliver heavy loads of cement without any problems. The new fuel was also successfully tested in planes, and boats, proving to be highly efficient and incredibly cheap compared to petrol and diesel. Officials say Namibia has an abundant supply of seals along its coast, ensuring a sustainable and local source of fuel. “This is a game changer,” said Chinese scientist and project leader Yúrén Jié. “We can now power the entire Namibia with locally sourced seal oil.” The move is expected to make Namibia a net exporter of fuel, as the global push for cleaner energy continues unabated. This is a developing story.

@toobaffled If you meant "rehearsed" as in trained for then YES - just as soldiers are trained to fight when war breaks out - some medical personnel are trained to respond to outbreaks. Be glad they are otherwise this would have been much worse.

Meningitis is NOT contagious, so what’s with all the nonsense? As my friend Kat Watkins says on FB today: “Meningitis is an infection in the brain caused by toxins passing the blood brain barrier.
