Dylan Crews is standing taller. This allows him to move into better posture. Now he should be able to rotate more efficiently and have adjustability It’ll take some time but this is a great adjustment for him.

@TStoop His posture is better for sure. He still has trouble inside with velo. I don’t think it’s a swing that can cover every pitch. You’re not going to be good all the time but you need to be able to get good swings off.

Tatis blown up inside. I really cant understand how you can allow two important bats (Merrill) to have swings that can’t hit every pitch location. They aren’t going to be good everywhere all the time but these are huge mechanical flaws that create swing decision issues

A confounding variable in early-season bat speed could be temperature. Here are a couple of regressions I ran between average bat speed and temperature using the open-meteo API and stadium coordinates. All domes are set at 72.5 degrees. Seems to be significant.

I took some heat over saying to fade Delauter over his injury concerns. I think it's a fair assessment given his history. BUT x.com/MLB/status/204… at cost, he's a full time outfielder showing good production. Josh Lowe and Evan Carter were guys I took around him. Obviously I'd rather have Delauter, even though I usually want speed there. One thing that's still proving to be a mystery. Where can you pitch him and be safe? He hit the pitch away, for a homer from Munoz. This pitch from Harvey is well located in and he "carves" his hands inside (its wild). Looking at his swing path, I guess you try to elevate more away. I think Hancock executed that iirc. Once pitchers know where he's unlikely to hurt them, then they know where to execute/miss. Right now they still attempt up and in.. but if they miss down... Big trouble. It's a really fun swing to watch for someone like me. I'd rather have a bad take and continue to be wrong than have this dude miss time
