Cardano needs to prepare for a tough bear market. In previous cycles, devs built quietly in bear markets. This time, that may not be the case. This year's bull market took place without a wave of new users. Those who came because of the meme mania left angrily long ago. Most of what was built with the expectation of monetization in the bull market went unnoticed. Teams were left without profit. While the crypto industry struggles for on-chain activity, AI is attracting the attention of VC funds, developers and users. According to the activity on GitHub, we can see that the number of commits and builders in the crypto industry is decreasing. L1 projects are laying off employees, such as Algorand. Many L1 treasuries are half empty. Resources were not used effectively, or they failed to attract users. Analytics firm Messari pivots to AI. Crypto media is including more and more articles about AI. Some crypto influencers switched to AI a long time ago. VC funds poured money into crypto. Now they are doing the same thing in the AI industry, which attracts talent and devs. Those who may have seen blockchain as a revolutionary technology now see the same thing in AI and want to be part of it. While the crypto industry may seem abandoned, TradFi is migrating to blockchain, and they have no doubt about the future of stablecoins and tokenization. L1s will fight for survival with limited budgets. Many DeFi projects will leave. Only the strongest will remain. This could be an opportunity for Cardano. We still have a relatively large Treasury, so we can build. We can attract talent and devs. Blockchain fundamentals remain strong. Blockchain is a trust machine. Trust is the basis of interaction between people. AI generates so much content that people on the internet can’t be sure what is true and what to believe. No one can be sure if the other side is a human or a chatbot. These technologies may need each other sooner or later. Let’s think about how to connect them in a meaningful way. Cardano, like other L1s, has a limited time to ensure relevance. This will be most dependent on on-chain activity. Governance will play a crucial role in the fate of Cardano, as it determines Treasury spending. Let's not be afraid to invest in it.

The fact that Cardano is now top 11 and projects like Tron and Doge are still in the top 10 really says a lot about the average crypto holder. Soon people will realize that decentralization and security is more important than faster transactions and memecoins.
