So I decided to get off my arse yesterday and canvass for RESTORE BRITAIN. Here’s an honest assessment of what I saw! Reform canvassing teams were HORRIBLE!! More than a couple incidents of miserable old ladies arguing with people on their own doorsteps! Faces like smacked arses! 😖😖 One house in particular. I thought I’d be cheeky and knock on a door straight after two Reform ladies failed to win the internet of the lovely lady and gent inside. When I approached the door, one of the ladies asked “do you really think you should be doing that?” I chuckled and said “I think I have to”. Next thing we know I’ve gotten an honest hard working family who’d never voted before to vote Restore and they wanted me to bring them a sign for their garden! SCORE! 👑👑 Should be the end of the story right?? NOPE! These bitter buggers RE-Knocked the door and began berating the gentleman inside… WTF!! They got a telling off, and then abandoned the entire estate. 😱😱 Me and my team had a BALL!! So much fun! I was in my element! I’ve got little old ladies telling me Keir Starmer is a CUNT. I’m handing out hugs like they’re hot cakes! I’m stopping cars in the street and shaking hands! We did TWO routes in the end! And as for the guys I was teamed up with!! Wow! What a bunch! Smart! Friendly! Supportive! Successful! Stoic! I don’t think we stopped laughing the whole day! And as for the result!! I think EVERYONE is going to be SHOCKED!!

In Gorton, supposed mega super duper star Matt Goodwin got turned inside-out by an unfortunate looking hippie pretending to be a plumber! If Reform lose this one to LABOUR!!… they should be asking SERIOUS questions of their leadership!

Out canvassing yesterday and ANGRY residents told me about letters with their names and addresses sent to them from REFORM LABOUR and THE GREENS. But nobody was as angry as one lady I spoke to who showed me THIS! A letter with her name and address on! How did HOPE NOT HATE get her details?! From the electoral roll? Aren’t those restricted to only registered political parties?! Carol Vorderman whining about the Reform candidate! Obviously I’m a Restore guy but this is a little concerning!!

Many of those "foreign nationals" will have kids who were born in this country. I've yet to hear from Matt and his party where they stand on making children (British children!) homeless, and threatening to deport their parents.

@UK_Based_Mike @SarahGi49130661 Remain campaign failed for exactly the same reason. The "Uncivil War" film is back on iPlayer and worth a watch. It focuses on the hubris in the Remain camp and how they failed by demonising leavers as thick.

Although it certainly won't be a walkover, Andy Burnham looks to be cruising to victory in Makerfield this week. I don't blame Restore for standing, for the following reasons - 1. If Reform are that popular they should win the seat off their own back. 2. Nobody should assume that the majority of Restore votes have come from otherwise Reform voters. My own 2 cents are that the Reform campaign has been too negative, and the candidate is not up to fighting a heavyweight like Burnham. Lessons to be learned here, but not a total disaster as the General Election is three years away.

@UK_Based_Mike I've had similar experiences. Multiple times I've had members of the public approaching me (not the other way around) asking to take leaflets/signage. Heaps of enthusiasm. Spent 3 days canvassing with terrific people. The commitment levels are extraordinary by all involved.
