The Iranian regime executed 18-year-old protester, Amirhossein Hatami, this morning. He had been arrested in connection with demonstrations in Tehran on January 8–9. Hatami was one of seven protesters sentenced to death in a single case. Reports indicate he was subjected to torture and convicted based on forced confessions in a deeply unfair trial at the Revolutionary Court, without access to a lawyer. In just the past two weeks, at least three protesters and four political prisoners have been executed, with hundreds more believed to be at imminent risk. Amid ongoing conflict, the regime has intensified use of the death penalty to suppress dissent across Iran. #StopExecutionsInIran
