Troye is running as a Democrat and has framed her campaign as running to “take on Trump.” In her campaign launch video released in April, Olivia Troye shows images of Barack Hussein Obama @BarackObama smiling, along with video footage of her speaking at the 2024 DNC National Convention. The ad then makes a strong point that “taking on Trump” is her main objective as she says: “How did this little girl from a Texas border town land on the biggest stage in the world, taking on Donald Trump?” She continues speaking in the video: “In 2016, I voted for Hillary @HillaryClinton. But after Trump won, I kept showing up to work because serving your country isn't supposed to be partisan. The evil I saw in that White House was staggering. In 2020, I finally said, 'Enough.' And they came for me… Trump doesn't scare me.
