I don’t really get labels like this, @campdenbri. An air fryer and an oven both cook by heating the outside of the item with hot air. If the air fryer heats the interior faster, it can only be by delivering more heat at the surface. So why not have a higher oven temperature?

@Fireblade577 It’s part of the accelerationist “philosophy” in Silicon Valley. It elevates smart robots in the future over humans in the here and now. You and I are just fuel to be burnt reaching the stars. There is no intrinsic human dignity or value.

A Muslim radical has been sentenced to 37 years in prison for taking a bomb to the maternity ward of a hospital in Leeds, England in 2023 and planning a jihadist attack on a military base. He was convicted at trial for preparing acts of terrorism. Mohammad Farooq made a viable explosive device, which he planned to detonate at the maternity ward of St James’s Hospital. Islamic terrorist attacks and thwarted attacks regularly occur in the UK, but leftists like to focus on the right, who they falsely claim is the cause of the biggest terrorism threat. The British media also does not bring much attention to Islamic terrorism, instead focusing on those who protest against it.

Peace feels illusory; the price might be Ukraine’s surrender, which is impractical.” Yuri Gorodnichenko, an economist from UC Berkeley, told Radio Free Europe that this conflict hinges on endurance, not just troop strength. “Economics now drive this war of attrition,” he says. “Ukraine holds on with allied backing; Russia relies on oil. Both strike at energy systems, yet Ukraine adapts—using decentralized power and drones built in basements. US military support is crucial, but allies like the EU could step up. Trump’s proposals, like tapping resources or managing nuclear plants, are far-fetched; he’s after a quick win, not lasting solutions.”

Bad news for Starmer and Macron. Vance confirms the only US security guarantee in Ukraine will be the mineral deal. He also plays down British & French peacekeeping troops as “20k troops from some random country that hasn’t fought a war in 30 or 40 years”.
