In Tamil Nadu, workers in manufacturing get lot of benefits. All basic hygiene factors like food, health and transportation are covered. Tamil Nadu is 6% of Indiaโ€™s population. But 44% of women workers in manufacturing in the entire country comes from this one state. Both the state government and the concerned company should proactively manage workers needs along with company's ability to spend. This model is working very well in Tamil Nadu. One thing which should never be done is involving communist parties and unions. It is a road to hell. Government and management should ensure workers don't feel a need for union. Everyone wants basic financial security and regular needs like food, housing, children education and healthcare are taken care off.

I pay 27000 for a 1 BHK flat in HSR, Bangalore. It is a semi-furnished flat with just cabinets, ceiling fans, doors, and windows. No power backup, no AC provided by the flat owner. Very frequent power cuts and water shortages. Also, flat rent has increased to 28.5K.
