Keir Starmer is quietly turning into quite an impressive PM for an international global crisis. Calm, astute and strong when he needs to be. Not that he’ll get any praise for it in the media or on here of course, but he has shown real leadership in an extremely challenging situation.

When I wrote this post, I was largely talking into the ether. My 6-year-old daughter suddenly burst into the house yesterday afternoon with the unmistakable scream that made my wife cry, reminding me of that day. I didn’t expect these reactions; they’ve been so incredibly nice.

My son died. I know he didn't contribute anything to mankind — he was only two months old — but I like to believe he was destined to do something good for humanity. It's been a while since his death, and I hate to dwell on it so publicly, but I wanted you to know him.

Everything he says is either to promote his family and friends or to try and stave off off prosecution later.

GPT-5.4 is great at coding, knowledge work, computer use, etc, and it's nice to see how much people are enjoying it. But it's also my favorite model to talk to! We have missed the mark on model personality for awhile, so it feels extra good to be moving in the right direction.
