"Criminally underrated thought leader and general bon vivant." - My mom I could probably destroy you at procrastination.

🚨 Ever Alvarenga, an asylum seeker, was driving to work Thursday morning when he was rear-ended by an ICE vehicle. He is still in the hospital after suffering significant injuries to his head, chest, back, & hands. After the accident, he was detained & ICE now refuses to allow his attorneys to meet with him privately, a clear denial of the due process rights afforded to all under our Constitution. ICE tactics are endangering our communities & violating the Constitution.

NEWS Eric Swalwell’s new and prior financial disclosures show a mix of questionable charges to his campaign, and dubious tax and cash management strategies amid signs of a cash crunch worsened by overspending on a high-flying lifestyle. Swalwell runs a high-earning $461K two-income household, but still charged dubious expenses to his campaign, made chronic and risky delays in paying income taxes, and made precarious withdrawals from retirement accounts. He charged more than $244,000 in childcare expenses—tuition, daycare—to his campaign from 2019 to 2025, his disclosures show and the Sacramento Bee found. That’s the highest in the House, with nearly $60,000 in 2022 alone. Here’s the possible ethics problem. They are permitted under FEC law only if the charges are incurred in years the candidate is running for office or performing campaign duties. But in three of those six years he was not running for office. He charged $20K in childcare costs just days after his 2024 re-election. These FEC laws are notably lax (House members rarely charge these costs to their campaigns, reportedly only 68 during that time frame). The reporting has been out there that Swalwell has also charged luxury items to his campaign, such as stays at high-end hotels (including a well-known luxury hotel in Dubai), a $17K yacht rental, and costly airfare and travel totaling tens of thousands of dollars. He charged $360K for car and limo services paid to a campaign staffer since 2021, reports show, and he charged for thousands of dollars spent on restaurants. Swalwell’s campaign spent nearly $90,000 on travel in just the last quarter of 2023. His household has large student loan debt, up to $100K, $15K-50K credit card balances, and a $1M-5M mortgage. One of the biggest red flags his financial world is out of control is he reduced or zeroed out his tax withholding on his congressional salary in some years, effectively delaying paying federal taxes and incurring penalties. Also he and his wife pulled significant cash, more than $145,000, from retirement accounts over several years. #News @EveningEdit @FoxBusiness @FoxNews @ap @CBSNews @abc @ReutersBiz @reuters @WhatsNewsWSJ @WSJ #ericswalwell @ericswalwell

NEW: The niece and grand-niece of slain Iranian Gen. Qasem Soleimani were reportedly living 'lavish' lifestyles in Los Angeles before being arrested by ICE. Hamideh Soleimani Afshar, the niece, had allegedly celebrated the Iranian attacks on US soldiers. "While living in the United States, she promoted Iranian regime propaganda, celebrated attacks against American soldiers and military facilities in the Middle East, praised the new Iranian Supreme Leader, denounced America as the ‘Great Satan,’ and voiced her unflinching support for the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, a designated terror organization," the State Department said. Afshar, 47, was granted asylum in 2019 and received a green card from the Biden administration in 2021. The grand-niece of Soleimani, Sarinasadat Hosseiny, 25, entered the US in 2015 on a student visa and later became a green card holder. Her now-deleted Instagram showed her clubbing in Miami, spending time in Alaska, and partying in Las Vegas, according to the New York Post. "The daughter lives in Hollywood. The boyfriend told me that he and Sarina were driving outside the house when they were cut up by ICE cars. He said the agents were demanding to know where the mother was," a neighbor said.

Rep. Ilhan Omar and her husband Tim Mynett are under investigation following claims their business income surged from about $51K to $30M in a single year.

Just a reminder for Christian's celebrating Easter this week. Jesus looked like the guy in the first picture - not the second.

Princess Grace of Monaco visiting JFK at the White House, 1961.

This was her Instagram. She proclaimed “Death to America” while enjoying a luxury lifestyle in the United States

Isn’t she an oncologist or something? Are we losing so badly we need to arrest the distant relatives of long-since-dead Iranian commanders?

Until recently, Hamideh Soleimani Afshar and her daughter were green card holders living lavishly in the United States. Afshar is the niece of deceased Iranian Major General Qasem Soleimani. She is also an outspoken supporter of the Iranian regime who celebrated attacks on Americans and referred to our country as the "Great Satan." This week, I terminated both Afshar and her daughter's legal status and they are now in ICE custody, pending removal from the United States. The Trump Administration will not allow our country to become a home for foreign nationals who support anti-American terrorist regimes.

On April 3, 2026, @ICEgov officers in Los Angeles arrested Hamideh Soleimani Afshar and Sarinasadat Hosseiny, the niece and grandniece of Qasem Soleimani, the late head of the Quds Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps who was killed by a drone strike ordered by President Trump in 2020. Soleimani Afshar entered the United States in June 2015 on a tourist visa. In 2019, a judge granted her asylum. In 2021, she became a green card holder under the Biden Administration. In July 2025, she filed a naturalization application where she disclosed, she traveled to Iran at least four times since being issued a green card. Her trips to Iran illustrate her asylum claims were fraudulent. Her daughter, Sarinasadat Hosseiny, entered the United States in July 2015 on a student visa. In 2019, a judge granted her asylum. In 2023, she became a green card holder under the Biden administration. It is a privilege to be granted green card to live in the United States of America. If we have reason to believe a green card holder poses a threat to the U.S., the green card will be revoked.

$1.84/L = $7.16 per gallon ($5.14 USD). On behalf of Canada, just wanna say: great job Donald Trump, you fucking piece of shit.

These cases illustrate how utterly shot the US asylum process is. These were children of regime leaders claiming to be oppressed by that same regime - and going back for visits. Yet they got asylum, LPR, and damn near citizenship.
