Driving family to GA soon. It’s a roughly 12 hour drive. So we’re breaking it up in 2 days.

Louisville is currently experiencing heavy storm and severely cold temperatures.
But what’s important is to never miss an opportunity to create an anti-children culture. Really disappointing to see this, @kfc_yumcenter.
Here, children are framed as a punishment; concerts as the good life, diapers as the cautionary tale.
When institutions normalize this message, it’s not just a joke. It reinforces the very wrong notion that children are an inconvenience. It is immaturity producing an anti-culture which is anti-future.

There are one million problems with a wealth tax. One of them is the one even leftist social democrats have grabbed on to - that it doesn’t work. Larry Summers and all of Europe have plenty to say here.
Another is that it is … patently immoral. Who on God’s green earth could even HEAR the idea of it, and not think it is the most sanctioned theft imaginable?

Nonsense. A 1% tax for “five years” is approx a 5% tax. Oh, and it’s 1.5% a year on @peterthiel which is approx 7.5%. Kind of left that out didn’t ya? Now it’s on already taxed wealth (of every variety including illiquid private guesstimates which is insane) not income, which you clearly want people to compare it to. You want people to think “oh, it’s like a 1% higher income tax, that’s not so much.” Slimy. BTW, do you give it back if concentrated risky guesstimated wealth collapses? I think not. Oh, and “five years”? Spare me. When have you and yours ever passed a tax for “five years” that has only lasted five years? Your emergencies last forever and only grow. For that matter, when have you ever passed a tax of 1% that stayed at 1%? Oh, I forgot, it’s 1.5% on @peterthiel. Finally, as usual you say “billionaire” a lot for a tax that applies to people with 5% of that. Now 5% of that is a lot, but words matter, and you lie. @peterthiel and others are right to run like hell. And as long as there are options (you have to work on that all-powerful world government project) people will run from you. You would too. California weather is really nice. It’s not that nice.

I do agree with @danorlovsky7 on this, but it sure was also nice to sleep in this morning and not stay up all night putting toys together. Though I was up half the night getting food prepped. The teenagers didn’t get up till after 9:30 this morning.

I try not to give life advice on this app. Life’s got a lot to it. But I will say, once your kids know the truth about Christmas it’s never ever the same. Still amazing but not the same….. For anyone with young young ones still—my advice—keep the magic going as long as you possibly can. As long as you possibly can.
