@nytimes In 2024, I attended the promotion ceremony of a friend to 4 star general. General George gave the introduction. He spoke of the importance of the rule of law and “using your rank for good”. Inspiring, he gave hope our military could not be misused for improper purposes. Now?

To my constituents - it’s been an honor to represent you. Thank you for letting me work on your behalf. Having come into Congress in 2013 during a costly government shutdown, it feels only fitting that my final vote was to avert a shutdown.

@ChangeWash There is an error on your posting. Your webpage says 49% of fentanyl overdose deaths occurred in permanent supportive housing. That is not what the report says. Rather, 49% of deaths were either those living unsheltered, in temporary housing, OR in permanent supportive housing.

Ace Hardware has an unconventional business model in the US. The stores are independently owned purchasing cooperatives.. so the stores are all owned locally, but they buy in bulk together.
Unlike Home Depot, its profits stay in the neighborhood, not extracted by shareholders.
