Most scientific conferences and symposia in Kenya have a major concern: every invited guest complains that universities, research institutions and scholars are not commercializing ideas. Even GoK bashes scholars a lot on this! Justifiably, but... A short 🧵

Kenya has now officially banned phones without USB Type-C charging ports, effective from March 24, 2026. The move has created tension and panic in the market overnight, with no transition period, no warning, leaving importers and sellers scrambling

1. You can change diapers too if you can’t breast feed 2. You can wake up at 3am & rock the baby to sleep after they have breastfed 3. You can take the baby to the park & allow the mom to get some rest 4. You can stop acting like there’s nothing you can do that counts as much.

I genuinely think childcare may never be fully 50-50 and the best way men can even it, is to take care of the mother for optimal outcomes.

Earlier this week, the @KEBS_ke (KEBS) announced that it has reduced compliance testing of imports and exports from over 20 to an average of seven days as a result of new laboratory equipment installed at its head quarters five months ago. KEBS made the announcement during the commissioning of the  laboratory equipment which were financed by the @UKinKenya, under the Regional Economic Development for Investment and Trade Programme that is implemented by @TradeMarkAfrica. The equipment has enhanced analytical capability, reduced turnaround time, and supported compliance with local and international standards for food, agricultural and industrial products. This means products can now be certified and released faster into the Kenyan market and cleared for export within commercially viable timelines. Kenya's government introduced an excise duty of Sh200 per kg on imported float glass without prior notice, increasing the container duty from Sh400,000 to Sh6 million. This has led to around 150 containers being stuck at the port.

But Kuna nduma za mwanake original that cooks for hours, they have a stringy texture and that is what was used to be eaten during kiangazi other than cienjo cia marigū. The current nduma ya mwanake in the market is a variety developed due to market dynamics (perishability and flour processing) and exporting from southern and Latin America to north America and European markets. @SpryVoice @ndiritum mlikula nduma Cia mwanake? I did myself, not very interesting.
