There are “lazy” PIMS (Hampus Lindholm) and there is “im going to knock your teeth in” PIMS (Nikita Zadorov) — the tone he’s able to set is worth the shortcomings of him sitting in the box for 2mins I would add that quite often the calls are simply Zadorov just being bigger and stronger than everyone else The most important trait? Players HATE playing against him and that’s the DNA and culture this organization prides itself on I’d go as far to say that Zadorov has shown tremendous leadership qualities — not only by what he brings on the ice but answering the tough questions, not shying away from the media…he gives it 100% every night If you want to stick him on the 3rd-pair, that’s fine.
