Top tip, when going for one last swim of the day, make sure your phone isn’t in your pocket…..🥴

@simon1883 I don’t do the phone repairs to know pricing, but typically if you’re thinking of selling them anyway it’s probably better to just sell them as is. But as ever find the repair costs and check values as is/repaired to decide

Hi @bramleycomputer looking for some advice. Is it worth replacing the back of an iPhone 12? Got two that need new backs. Or is it better to sell as they are and let the next person repair them?

@tarasis Thanks, it's now sold. But yes even the base M1 Airs a better performer than most of the intel machines that proceeded them, so when they come up they're still a great upgrade for the many still on Intel Macs.

@highwaylass Glad you’re happy with it. I always reset them back to proper factory settings so you get the new feeling with them, though the box was a lucky bonus for the full effect, I don’t always have the right box for them. Enjoy, and hope the eye is healing well

My old Mac laptop has deceased. Over 10 years faithful service, but those days are gone. All you brilliant IT people tell me which one to go for please. I don’t need mega mega bytes, just normal. And I have to stay with Mac. You can’t teach an old dog….

Hilariously my MacBook screen (2 years old this month) has just died. It's still sort of doing something but very dark and just ghost blurs. Apple chat support dont know whats up so guess Im going to the Apple Store instead of working one day this week

@RKphotographic @nigeldanson @Apple Thanks Rob. A lot of the time it’s just dust in the ports so a rocket blower, or grabbing an old card and pulling it in/out 10-20 times helps clean the contacts. Annoyingly the SD board is part of the logic board (expensive fix), so if you can’t get it going I’d go USB-C reader

My built in SD card reader has stopped working on M1 MacBook Pro... anybody else had any issues or know a fix. I think it is a hardware issue... Help @Apple !

@Nick_Stafford @alexgrantuk Thanks Nick, I’ve no phones at the moment, as others have said there’s some used deals about. Also pretty sure I’d get through a phone a month without the Otterbox case

I've had iPhones since 2010 and this one since 2019. Somehow this is the first time I've managed to smash a screen. It's an 8 with 20% battery capacity loss and smashed back glass, so it isn't worth repairing. Replacement a grudge purchase. Very annoying.

@Welshracer @RudolphUcker Thanks Rob. Sorry no minis at the moment. It is easy on the new ones to get it wrong but hopefully they’ve got it right or will help if they haven’t.
