The roadside shops on 70 Feet Road have been shut down. I don't know whether this decision is legally right or wrong, but I know one thing for sure—these tiny shops were not encroachments to the families running them; they were their only source of food, rent, school fees, and survival. With one order, the livelihoods of many poor and lower-middle-class families have come to an end. The people who earn daily and live daily have been left with nothing and no answers. Perhaps the elite and politicians will move on without feeling the impact. But for these families, tonight is filled with fear and uncertainty. Who will stand for these small traders? Those dancers are booked through some company and have to be paid(They didn't come on their own to welcome the joker as the post claims). The hall is booked at a substantial cost for all this drama. The cameraman too.
