@ianweir93 Sute, he may be a crooked owner, but I think Oakland is a money pit for any owner. It's a declining market with no stadium and another team right across the bay to compete for fans with. It would be almost impossible to get a new owner willing to keep them there.

Montreal, CN - No to Canada
Oakland, CA - Just lost their team, why go back?
Nashville, TN - Best option
Orlando, FL - can't fill seats in the other 2 FL baseball stadiums
Portland, OR - disaster of a city
Raliegh, NC - Decent option, very small market
Sacramento, CA - Would cost $5B to build a $750M stadium
Salt Lake City, UT - Good option, small market.
Vancouver, CN - No to Canada
If they were going to add 2 teams, I'd probably go with Nashville and either Salt Lake City or Charlotte.

In the same vein that the Fed has a 2% goal for inflation but no stated goal for unemployment, it also hangs its hat on 40 years of low inflation without mention of unemployment. It seems so odd to me that a dual mandate institution only cites KPIs for one half.

@legen_eth Depends on the platform's interpretation. If "impeached" means they attempt to impeach him, then 70% is about right. It won't actually happen of course, but it is very likely they will try. How these sites interpret words can cause huge losses.

Blame the Northwestern NIL budget all you want but we never saw players like Buie, Barnhizer or Martinelli jump ship to other schools even in their final seasons.
The real Northwestern culture is staying loyal and building team chemistry and leadership as you gain experience.

I'm sympathetic to the fans, don't get me wrong, but the A's haven't averaged more than 11,000 a home game since before the 2020 pandemic season. I covered it for all of my 51 seasons as a baseball writer. It's so sad on so many different fronts.
