@ashleysatines @GHOSTP1TT but then you don't get Abbot saying "Robby, it's you and me" that's one of the points of that scene. but yeah I think it would be very interesting to have obgyn come down next season and immediately take over like "let the pros do it"

@djoindapitt @GHOSTP1TT yeah I feel like it’s cool/still realistic to have the women stay in the ED, but if OBGYN came down and the pitt doctors assisted!! That way it could showcase OBGYN *and* our fave characters!!!

some people really forget that the pitt... is a tv show, so of course it's going to have their characters do more than they would in real life and dramatise things. If I complained the same way every time a show or movie gets a lab thing wrong....

@RandomGiantsFan I think that if you go into any situation, specially medical expecting it to go as it does in a tv show (as realistic as it is) then thats on you tbh Im not saying all ob takes on the ep are wrong but most ive seen ignore half the things they said in the episode

@djoindapitt Some laypeople will think the improbable stuff that goes down is accurate and that gives them UNREALISTIC expectations when they seek medical care. I'm fine w/saying it's fiction so just enjoy it. I'm not fine with some random Twit telling a real OB their take on S2E15 is wrong.

@GHOSTP1TT @ashleysatines Oh yeah! That would be interesting. I think part of the reason they give so many explanations as to why the woman is staying down in the er is to keep it as real as possible, if they had just wheeled her up as soon as she arrived then it is not interesting for a show

@ashleysatines @djoindapitt i have no knowledge of this but its been interesting to read the criticism and i wonder if they will address it the way they did with nurse practitioners & respiratory therapists this season if they do more medical symposiums i hope the showrunners are also questioned!

@GHOSTP1TT yup! what prompted my tweet was the amount of people complaining about the lack of a obgyn attending in the last episode when if it's a show focused on a er of course the er doctors are going to do more stuff and they explain all of your complaints in the ep if you pay attention

@djoindapitt i think it's a hard line they walk because they tout the realism all the time as the main draw for viewers, but sometimes realism must be sacrificed in favor of emotional/narrative/dramatic impact.

the blocking in these scenes is insane (to me)—the ed running behind robby, and its brief reflection appearing behind his hunched posture, implying a burden, as if robby feels like he’s carrying the ed while it continues to function without him…

because there's not enough space at his uncle's for him to stay. Jack always takes time to talk with him, he jokes around and helps Dennis with his chores. Sometimes Jack will show up when the house is full, but it's okay, Dennis doesn't mind sharing his bed.

Whitaker's uncle served in the military, he doesn't talk about it much, but sometimes some of his army friends will visit. Dennis's favourite is Jack Abbot, he loves when he comes over for a few days to decompress from his doctor job, specially when he has to stay at the farm
