This statement reads less like a postmortem and more like damage control drafted by a room full of lawyers and comms people to minimize liability
The LZ team says they use both internal and external RPC servers but never specifies which type was compromised
Reading between the lines, it seems like it was their internal RPCs, meaning DPRK was inside their infrastructure
LZ should be explaining how that happened, not publicly blaming their users for trusting them

As expected, LayerZero is deflecting responsibility that their own DVN node infrastructure was compromised and caused a $290M bridge exploit
They throw KelpDAO under the bus for the crime of trusting the LayerZero Labs DVN, a 1/1 setup they willingly supported and only blocked after getting hacked, all while claiming everything worked as designed
Claiming there was no contagion is just the cherry on top

key takeaway from the article: the LayerZero protocol, *when used as intended*, is not safe. i’d add, the protocol is certainly safe when it is intended not to use it in the first place

@theshakesbeer @ARCRaidersMedia well if its just an another big arc like matriarch with no special loot to get from it and pvp players shitting on you, no one gonna return to play
English

@electro_cipher @ARCRaidersMedia Another example of how ARC players get weird. Like a PvE mode would be bad, and they're mad about it 🤣
English

ARC Raiders has lost around 81% of its Steam player base since launch. The game peaked at 466,000 concurrent players in early January 2026, and four months later that number has fallen to just 80,000 to 90,000.
Players have pointed to two main issues driving the drop. Repetitive PvE content has left a large part of the player base feeling burnt out, while a growing cheater problem has pushed many others away.

English

@theshakesbeer @ARCRaidersMedia if they make a mass only PvE event. *IF
English

@ARCRaidersMedia "Repetitive PvE content has left a large part of the player base feeling burnt out" Buulllshit! The PvP isn't what makes ARC good & the day they make a PvE event is the day the numbers surge, watch.

looks like instead of a full recovery/refund this will be closer to a plan where users recover their hacked amounts by trading on drift? since recovery will be linked to drift revenue

hot take: i think hype shouldn't do a s3 airdrop nor should tradeXYZ ever launch a token
they both've reached a stage where they don't need any incentive. most users just them bcz they are simply great products.
community rewards can feed staking rewards for years to come.
this is coming from someone who has billions of volume on both of them.

@electro_cipher Curious whether the surge in oil futures volume on Hyperliquid signals true normie adoption?

hyperliquid hitting normies?

Hyperliquid’s oil futures surged to about $7.3 billion on Thursday, from $339 million on Feb. 28 - WSJ

Question for my hyperliquid chads
Is there a way to uniquely identify and correlate a sendAsset withdrawal txn on Hyperliquid to the CoreDepositWallet withdrawal txn?
maybe @androolloyd
